Set of four dining chairs made of solid ash, designed by Illmari Tapiovaara (Finland, 1914-1999) for Fratelli Montina.

Tapiovaara was born in Hämeenlinna, Finland in 1914. He was a Finnish interior and industrial designer and worked under Alvar Aalto and Le Corbusier, among others. Tapiovaara is known for his functional and socially responsible designs and has created affordable and efficient pieces, such as the stackable “Domus” chairs.
