Pair of armchairs with high, rounded backrests and C-shaped armrests. The armchairs stand on sabre legs and octagonal legs with leaf capitals and bases. The armchairs are decorated with carved ornamentation in the form of lion heads on the armrests and dolphins around a scalloped ornament on the backrests. The armchairs are covered on all sides with a light beige satin fabric. 

Provenance: Important collection of a house in Cadogan Square. Antoine Cheneviere Fine Arts, London, purchased October 9, 1998. Part of a suite presented on the occasion of Prince Massimo's marriage to Princess Gabriolla di Savoia in 1827.
