Pair of small red serpentine obelisks with hieroglyphic decor from Cornwall, England 19th century. One with a text column on the north side of the so-called 'Cleopatra's Needle', today Central Park, New York; the other with the so-called 'Lateranobelisk' found in 1587 and set up in 1588 by Sixtus V in Piazza San Giovanni in Laterano.
