An elegant Neoclassical secretary desk crafted from walnut, circa 1800. The three-part upper section is architecturally designed, featuring a gallery rail and ebonized half-columns adorned with bronze bases and capitals. The desk rests on fluted square tapering legs, emphasizing its balanced and refined form.
Below the writing flap are two drawers with oval bronze escutcheons, flanked by ebonized columns. Behind the flat writing flap are eleven small drawers arranged around a central compartment with an arched design and pilaster detailing. The three-part upper section ascends in three tiers to the door of the largest central compartment, showcasing architectural sophistication.
The piece has been expertly restored and is in excellent condition, highlighting the classical style and fine craftsmanship of its era.
