Hermes or Mercury standing on a profiled stone base above a gold-colored sphere, made of bronze, after the famous model of Giovanni da Bologna, gen. Giambologna (1529-1606), which was designed around 1580. Hermes balances on zephyr and points to the sky with raised arm holding a torch, in his other he holds the staff of Asclepius. The torch has a candle spout and is patinated gold at the drip tray.
