A large baroque three-drawer commode with slightly curved front and sides. It is veneered in walnut and has gilded bronze fittings. The commode stands on small tapered legs and is finished with a wavy frame. The veneer pattern is characterised by framing inlaid panels. The commode has been expertly restored and hand polished. Despite its size, the elegantly curved lines of the chest make it appear light-footed, yet with plenty of storage space. The asymmetrical rococo fittings are original.
