Small and finely crafted silver sugar bowl resting on paw feet with an octagonal body. The lid features a decorative vine-leaf frieze around the edge and a detailed relief appliqué depicting Venus and Cupid next to an amphora and a smoking brazier styled as an antique tripod. The bowl is lockable, and the key is included. The underside is stamped with “Gebrüder Gerike,” a trembleuse line, 12-loth silver mark, and control mark “A.” The workshop was founded in 1818 by brothers Johann Ludwig and Carl Adolf Gerike.
