Pair of Neoclassical Painted and Partially Gilded Armchairs, Italy, Late 18th Century

Pair of Neoclassical armchairs with blue-painted and gold-highlighted wooden frames. The armrests, backrests, and aprons are richly decorated with Greek key bands, foliate decoration, and a crowning medallion on the backrests. The backrests are also executed in openwork. The frames are in a restored condition.
