Pair of Louis Philippe Commodes with Gray Marble Tops, probably Italy, Second Half of the 19th Century

Pair of large walnut-veneered commodes with baluster legs and turned column ornaments on the pilaster strips. Each commode is fitted with four drawers, the lower three framed by an frieze. The escutcheons are ebonized. The corners of the gray marble tops are correspondingly rounded. The commodes have been restored and hand-polished.
