Pair of Biedermeier-Style Bergère Armchairs in Walnut, Second Half of the 19th Century

Pair of generously proportioned Biedermeier-style bergère armchairs from the second half of the 19th century. The walnut-veneered frames feature gracefully curved armrests and elegantly outward-rolled upper backrests. The enclosed, upholstered sides flow into the backrests. The chairs stand on straight front legs and slightly splayed rear legs. The frames have been restored and hand-polished. Both armchairs have been newly upholstered and covered in a light blue textured fabric.
