Neoclassical mantel clock composed of patinated and fire-gilded bronze with white marble. The movement is positioned on the right, finely chiseled and adorned with laurel appliqués. Atop the clock sits a decorative arrangement of musical instruments. To the left, the figure of Orpheus stands on a small pedestal, playing his lyre. The rectangular base is encircled by a gilt egg-and-dart frieze (kymation) and rests on acanthus leaf feet. The front is embellished with a lyre motif flanked by laurel branches.
