Louis XVI roll-top desk in mahogany, raised on tapered square legs with bronze sabots and fitted with five drawers beneath the writing surface. The pull-out writing slide opens the quarter-cylinder tambour above.
The upper section contains a further row of three drawers surmounted by a decorative gallery. The interior is arranged with small drawers and central letter compartments. The central compartment is removable and reveals six concealed secret drawers.
The writing surface is covered in leather. The escutcheons and drawer pulls are executed in brass. The desk has been professionally restored and hand-polished.
