Based on a fragment of an over life-size marble statue: a Roman copy dated 14–27 AD after a Hellenistic original by the sculptor Phyromachos (2nd century BC), discovered in Neapolis (Syracuse, Sicily), amphitheatre.
The original is housed in the Archaeological Museum of Syracuse, inv. no. 693.
Mounted on a modern black iron base.
