This elegant George III bookcase from around 1790 features a two-door glazed upper section and a two-door lower cabinet. The piece stands on short legs with a curved apron and is topped by a segmental pediment with ebonized moldings. The symmetrically designed glazing bars of the doors reveal the interior, which houses three adjustable shelves suitable for books and special items. The body is mahogany-veneered and hand-polished.
