An elegant French silver drageoir or bonbonnière with a removable cobalt blue glass liner and a gilt interior. The lid is crowned by a finely cast swan finial and flanked by side handles. The body is richly decorated with sculptural shell and dolphin motifs. The vessel stands on four ball feet above a square base.
The foot bears multiple hallmarks: the Paris double-L charge mark (1783–1789) under Fermier général Henri Clavel, a Paris charge mark (1756–1762) under Eloi Brichard, and the communauté mark depicting a seated hound for Cahors/Toulouse (in use 1784–1789).
Both lid and body additionally carry the Swedish import mark “Tre Kronor” with “S,” in use from 1912, indicating later import into Sweden.
The cobalt blue glass liner shows a small chip along the upper rim, not visible from the exterior.
