Wall mirror with a mahogany-veneered frame and giltwood elements, featuring a pediment top and flanking half-columns with turned shafts.
The lower section is composed of mirrored pointed arches with acanthus leaf decoration. Beneath the pediment appears a four-winged bearded maskaron surrounded by radiating zigzag motifs, likely referencing Zeus.
The mirror plate is divided and shows areas of foxing.
The reverse bears the label of the Swedish mirror maker Johan Martin Berg, active as a master in Gothenburg between 1803 and 1837.
