Biedermeier secretary desk raised on tapered square legs, featuring a three-drawer commode base and a flat fall-front writing surface. Above is a wide drawer revealing a black leather writing surface with compartments for quill pens and inkwells. The piece is crowned by a stepped upper section with an additional drawer. The interior is fitted with a wide storage compartment, six drawers, and a central section with three arched openings and further compartments. This central element can be removed, revealing additional hidden compartments. The secretary is veneered in cherrywood and fitted with rectangular ebonized escutcheons. The writing surface is covered in black leather. Professionally restored and hand-polished.
