SKU: 019-0401

This pyramid-shaped secretary from the early 19th century impresses with its architectural design and high-quality craftsmanship. The gable-shaped top with segmental filling is accentuated by a large, fire-gilded vine applique on the front. Below is a drawer with a diamond-shaped panel and additional bronze appliqué. This is followed by a flat writing flap and two deep drawers, with the sides widening towards the bottom to form the characteristic pyramid shape. The body is veneered in light mahogany and hand-polished, while the upper panels are set off in dark tones. The richly appointed interior features elegant inlays in the form of tendrils and stars surrounding the central, lockable tabernacle compartment with hexagonal framing.
