Baroque Serpentine Armoire, First Half of the 18th Century

Large Baroque serpentine armoire with chamfered corners and a projecting, richly molded flat cornice. The cabinet stands on five baluster feet. Its characteristic undulating façade is veneered in walnut on spruce. The shaped escutcheon and lock are executed in brass. The interior is divided into two sections, each fitted with four shelves. The surface has been hand-polished.
