High-quality and finely detailed plaster cast of the so-called “Apollo of the Tiber.”
Based on a Roman sculpture from the 1st century CE after a Greek original dating to circa 450 BCE. The figure was discovered in fragments in the River Tiber in 1891.
The original is housed in the Museo Nazionale Romano, Terme di Diocleziano, Rome (inv. no. 510).
Mounted on a modern black iron base.
