A refined pair of Italian torchères made from mahogany, dating to the early 19th century and likely originating from Naples. The torchères rest on tripod bases with elegantly curved legs ending in stylized hooves, adorned with decorative goat heads crafted from gold-patinated wood.
The semi-globular bodies are green-patinated, fluted, and topped with a rosette. The round tops are fitted with marble inserts, one of which has been repaired. The pieces are in a museum-quality condition, reflecting their historical significance and exceptional craftsmanship.
