Fully plastic representation of the Madonna in alabaster with finely carved detailing of the drapery of the robe and the hair. Partially damaged and traces of old restoration. Provenance: The statue comes from the estate of a large noble family in southern Belgium, to which it had belonged for generations. (Horta, lot 173, 26 & 27 February 2018).
