The surface is richly decorated with floral marquetry in walnut and burl veneer, depicting blossoms and winding foliage. The tabletop is framed by a subtle raised edge. A paper label on the underside reads: “Son. Ex. La Comtesse Toll,” indicating provenance from a Countess of the noble Toll family—various branches of which were elevated to the rank of Count during the mid-19th century.
