Rare pair of Biedermeier spittoons, referred to in a Danhauser workshop design drawing as “Spukastel No. 43.” Crafted from beautifully grained walnut wood. Each vessel rests on a distinctive gear-shaped base, topped by a smooth, tapering column with finely turned profile rings, and finished with a flat, bowl-like top. A striking example of early Biedermeier design from the renowned Danhauser manufactory in Vienna.
