Set of three terracotta sculptures, two of which are signed and dated “Franz Melnitzky, 1855.” The allegorical figures represent the Seasons: Summer holding a bundle of wheat and a sickle, Autumn with a harvest basket, and Winter spinning with a distaff. The surfaces show traces of weathering and minor losses, with partial restorations. A fine example of mid-19th-century Austrian sculptural work.
