Small and refined Louis XVI cassolette crafted from marble and fire-gilded bronze. It stands on a circular base with a delicate beaded rim and a tripod support formed by helmeted Hermes figures, each adorned with an Aesculapian staff. Connected by fine beaded chains, they encircle the oval body in a classically inspired arrangement. The upper insert is removable and rotatable, featuring a decorative knop on one side and a candle nozzle for taper candles on the other.
