Resting on square feet, the lower section comprises three lockable drawers, surmounted by a fall-front writing surface with an additional drawer above. The structure is crowned by a classical Schinkel-style pediment with an elevated, tiered platform. Decorative mounts in the form of laurel wreaths adorn the corners above the columns, while the drawer fronts are fitted with handles terminating in lion protomes. The interior is conceived as an architectural composition: a central compartment with mirrored back, stylized rustication, and parquetry flooring in veneered burr wood, flanked by an arrangement of small drawers.
