Impressive Baroque secretary in three sections ("à trois corps"), raised on compressed bun feet and veneered in fine walnut. The lower commode section comprises three drawers, with the central one subtly recessed. The panel fronts are richly decorated with intricate marquetry and pyrography, depicting flowers, birds, and monastic landscapes.
Above sits a slanted fall-front writing surface adorned with a dynamic hunting scene. Inside are four small drawers and a deep central compartment.
The upper tabernacle section features a central niche with a figural depiction, likely Saint George with a sword. It is surrounded by ten small drawers decorated with additional bird and hunting motifs. Two panels vividly depict Saint George slaying the dragon.
An exceptional piece of Baroque furniture, showcasing superb craftsmanship and richly detailed iconography.
